Structural characteristics of eccentric reducer

2019-12-26 10:27:12   COMMENT:0 HITS:
Eccentric reducer is expressed by multiplying the diameter of large head by the diameter of small head by the thickness.

Eccentric reducer standard: national standard, American Standard, British standard and various non - standard high pressure stamping

The reducing forming process of ASME B16.9 Stainless Steel Eccentric Pipe Fitting Reducer is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into the forming die. By pressing along the axial direction of the tube blank, the metal moves along the die cavity and shrinks to form. According to the size of the reducer, it can be divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming

  Concentric reducer

The ASME B16.9 Stainless Steel Eccentric Pipe Fitting Reducer is characterized by its higher strength than carbon steel with the same carbon content, better toughness and plasticity, good weldability and corrosion resistance, etc

The roundness of reducer shall not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of corresponding end, and the allowable deviation shall be ± 3mm. The material of reducer shall comply with SY / t5037, GB / t9711, GB / t8163, American Standard ASTM A106 / A53 GRB, API 5L, apt5ct, ASTM A105, ASTM a234, ASTM A106, DIN German standard and customer requirements standard

Reducer (big and small head) is a kind of pipe fitting used for pipe reducing. The commonly used forming processes are reducing pressing, expanding pressing or reducing plus expanding pressing. For some sizes of reducer, stamping can also be used.

  a. Reducing / expanding forming

The reducing forming process of reducer is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of reducer into the forming die. By pressing along the axial direction of the tube blank, the metal moves along the die cavity and shrinks. According to the size of reducer, it can be divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming. The following figure is the schematic diagram of reducing forming of concentric reducer.

Expanding forming is to use the tube blank smaller than the big end diameter of the reducing tube, and use the internal punch to expand the diameter along the inner diameter of the tube blank. The expanding process is mainly used to solve the problem that the reducer with large diameter variation is not easy to be formed by reducing. Sometimes, the expanding and reducing methods are combined according to the forming needs of materials and products.

In the process of reducing or expanding deformation, according to different materials and reducing conditions, cold or hot pressing is adopted. In general, cold pressing should be used as much as possible, but hot pressing should be used in case of severe work hardening caused by multiple diameter changes, thickness deviation or alloy steel materials.

  b. Stamping

In addition to using steel pipe as raw material to produce reducer, some specifications of reducer can also be produced by stamping process of steel plate. The shape of the die used for drawing is designed according to the inner surface dimension of the reducer, and the steel plate after blanking is punched and drawn by the die.
