Technology of stainless steel cross
1. Hydraulic bulging of stainless steel cross hydraulic bulging is a forming process of expanding branch pipe by axial compensation of metal material. The process is to use special hydraulic press to inject liquid into the tube blank with the same diameter of High Pressure SS 304 Threaded End Pipe Fitting Stainless Steel Cross. The tube blank is extruded synchronously through two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. The volume of the tube blank decreases after extrusion. The liquid in the tube blank increases with the volume of the tube blank. When the pressure required for the expansion of stainless steel cross branch pipe is reached, the metal material is in the side cylinder and tube blank. Under the double action of liquid pressure, the branch pipe expands along the cavity of the die. The hydraulic bulging process of stainless steel cross can be formed at one time, and the production efficiency is high. The wall thickness of the main pipe and shoulder of the stainless steel cross can be increased. Because the hydraulic bulging process of stainless steel cross needs a large tonnage of equipment, it is mainly used in the manufacture of standard wall thickness stainless steel cross less than DN400 in China at present.
2. Hot-pressing forming of stainless steel cross is to flatten the billet larger than the diameter of stainless steel cross to the size of the diameter of stainless steel cross and open a hole in the part of the drawing branch pipe; the billet is heated, put into the forming die, and put into the drawing branch pipe in the billet; under the action of pressure, the billet is compressed radially, during the process of radial compression, the metal flows to the branch pipe direction and merges. The branch pipe is formed under the drawing of the die. The whole process is formed by the radial compression of the billet and the stretching of the branch pipe. Unlike the hydraulic bulging stainless steel cross, the metal of the hot-pressed stainless steel cross branch pipe is compensated by the radial motion of the billet, so it is also called the radial compensation process. The tonnage of equipment required for material forming is reduced due to the use of stainless steel cross after heating. Hot-pressed stainless steel cross have wide adaptability to materials, especially stainless steel cross with large diameter and thicker tube wall. Usually this forming process is adopted.
